The Mary J Barnett Memorial Library has already held some fun events in August, but has plenty more planned.

Library Director Jerri Hawkins says that on August 17th, there will be a card making class at 9am, and a meeting of the cookbook club at 6:30pm. The card making class has a $5 fee to cover the cost of the provided supplies, and this month’s cookbook club meeting will be using recipes from Trisha Yearwood’s book, “Trisha’s Kitchen.” Hawkins adds that there are still two story hour Friday’s left, with the story hour starting at 10am, and including themed crafts. For August 18th the theme is music, and the craft will be to make shakers, while on August 25th the theme is trucks, and the craft will be to paint trucks.
