Greene County senior kicker is back at it after suffering a serious knee injury in early December playing basketball for the Rams. Following surgery, Behne worked his way back and he talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about the process. “I’m almost 100 percent! I’m just missing a little bit of power, but that will come back very quickly.”
Behne wasn’t able to kick a football for several months following surgery. “I had to wait a while. I couldn’t start kicking a ball again until May and I had to work my way into it. And the hardest part, honestly, was letting my my mind tell my leg it was ready.”
The All-State kicker is a four-year starter at that position for the Rams and he has aspirations of kicking for a college football team.
The Rams host Ogden in a preseason scrimmage at Linduska Field on Friday, Aug. 18. The regular season begins on Friday, Aug. 25 at Carroll Athletic Field vs. the Carroll High Tigers. All Greene County football games can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
