We continue to follow season statistics for AC/GC Chargers baseball and softball players. For the baseball team, sophomore Ben Franzeen started in 8 of the 11 games he played in, stepping to the plate 19 times for 3 runs, 3 hits which were all singles and 6 RBI’s. He was walked 4 times, hit by pitch 4 times, and struck out 5 times for 3 total bases, a batting average of .158, on base percentage of .407 and slugging percentage of .158.

Franzeen was successful on his lone stolen base attempt, and tallied 12 putouts and 4 errors for 16 total chances and a fielding percentage of .750. He was the starting pitcher in 1 of the 4 games he went to the mound, pitching a total of 6.1 innings and throwing 159 pitches to 27 batters for an opposing batting average of .272. Franzeen allowed 7 hits, 10 runs of which 6 were earned, walked 11, hit one by pitch, allowed 2 sacrifices and struck out 7 for an ERA of 6.63 and 2.84 walks and hits per inning pitched.

For the softball team, freshman Jacie Baker played in 7 games, tallying 2 runs and was successful on both her stolen base attempts.
