It was announced last week that Lydia Olejniczak won the 2023 IGCA Class 4A All-District Softball Team award along with the IGCA Academic All-State Softball team award. She also can add IGCA 1st team all state to her resume as it was just announced that she will be taking that home as well representing the Perry Bluejays. This is her 4th time winning all state in her career. She was 3rd team all state her 8th grade year, before winning 1st team her last 3 seasons. That being her sophomore, junior, and of course this year which was her senior year.

It was quite a senior season for Olejniczak overall for the Bluejays as she finished with a .348 batting average along with a .450 on base percentage. She also had 4 HR’s and 12 RBI’s for Perry as well. Big congratulations to her on her third straight 1st team all state achievement. She will definitely present big shoes to fill for Perry Softball going into the 2024 season.
