The Adel Public Library will get people together to honor a special famous wizard.
The library will have a couple of events on Monday to celebrate the birthday of Harry Potter, who is well-known as a fictional wizard in the fantasy novel series written by JK Rowling. Patron Services Manager Amy Puck says they will have a Harry Potter themed scavenger hunt around the library starting at 9am, and they will have an interactive movie with Harry Potter from 10am until noon. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio they encourage people to dress up.
“This is a family event. And so we’re going to encourage you to bring the family. Come in costumes, whatever fandom attire that you want. If you have your wands, bring your wands.”
Puck encourages those wanting to participate to register before the event. Those who register will receive a gift bag. Kids under the age of eight years old must be accompanied by an adult.
