The Menlo Public Library will have a fun event coming up.
On August 5th, the library will host a Touch-A-Truck event from 10am to 1pm. Librarian Julie tells Raccoon Valley Radio what kinds of vehicles will be available to see during the event.
“We will have some farm equipment, some construction equipment, some first responders equipment, ambulances, fire trucks, things like that. Maybe a couple police cars. And there’ll be lots of like, tractors and different things like that.”
Julie adds that one of the library’s board members saw the event on a trip to Des Moines, and thought it would be something fun to do for the children in town. Children will be able to ask questions about all the different vehicles and see them up close. During the event, there will also be lemonade, popcorn and cotton candy available for free will donations to the library. The event is free and open to the public.
