This is the 4th and final day of my overlook of key players that helped this years West Central Valley softball team finish their year 12-8 in the West Central Valley standings and 20-12 overall. The two players that I will be looking at today are both freshman, Talia Williams and Lillian Gilbert. Starting with Talia Williams, she only had 2 at bats on the season. However, she was 1 for 2 in those at bats and finished with a batting average of .500 and .500 on base percentage. She also drove 2 across for West Central Valley on the season. Despite not much playing time this season, she will play a vital role on this West Central Valley team in 2024 as she was only a freshman this past season.

Lillian Gilbert was another one of the 5 total freshman on this  years West Central Valley team. She was a key part of the Wildcats offense this past season. She finished the season with a .396 batting average as well as a .444 on base percentage. She drove in quite a bit of runs as well for West Central Valley with 24 runs driven in. She will look to build on that momentum going forward for West Central Valley in 2024. That concludes my 2023 stats overlook for the Wildcats softball team.
