Many libraries in the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area held their Summer Reading Programs over June and July.

The Mary J Barnett Memorial Library held 15 different events, and had a total of 497 in person attendees. The last event for the program was a foam party at the beginning of July, with free pizza donated by Casey’s General store for a snack. Library Director Jerri Hawkins tells Raccoon Valley Radio that there were 20 adults, 25 teens, 77 children and 32 little ones that all participated, for a total of 154 participants over the summer.
