It was announced on Tuesday afternoon that Lydia Olejniczak won the 2023 IGCA Class 4A All-District Softball Team award along with the IGCA Academic All-State Softball team award. Olejniczak joins 2 other Perry athletes in such accomplishments this past season in 2022-2023. Fausto Beato won the 2023 IHSBCA Second Team All-District award for Class 3A. That tops off what was a great season for the senior. Lastly, Gavin Hegstrom is the last Bluejay athlete that took home an award. He won the 2023 IHSBCA Academic All-State baseball team award for Perry. Congratulations to all these three Bluejays and Jayettes on incredible accomplishments throughout the 2023 season on both the baseball and the softball diamond.
