This weekend is River Ruckus in Guthrie Center, and a few other events are adding some special things to help celebrate.
The Guthrie Center Farmers Market will take place in the morning on July 29th, and Organizer Kristina Swensen tells Raccoon Valley Radio about some of the other fun things going on at the market.
“The bloody mary bar and the mimosa bar is a really big one for us that’s coming to town that’s just different. Otherwise, we’re just going to keep it, just like we usually do for our markets. But we’ll have a fundraiser for breakfast and then live music.”
The breakfast fundraiser is being held by the Guthrie Center Lions Club, and the live music will be provided by local Tommy Bates. Swensen says Bates has performed at the farmers market before, along with other local events, and is a very good performer.
