The Adel Parks and Recreation Department has opened back up registration for their competitive racing event after it got canceled in July.

Parents can sign up their child in the age range of two to seven years-old for the 2023 Power Wheels Nationals that begins at 11am on August 5th at Kinnick Feller Park. 

Power Wheels Nationals is a racing event that gives children the opportunity to race electric vehicles in a controlled environment. Pre registration is open until July 31st, but those who miss the deadline can sign up the day of the race from 9 to 10am. 

Adel Parks and Rec encourages people to bring their own power wheel vehicle, but they will also have community power wheels for use at this event. The race is free and all children that register will receive a free t-shirt
