In the recent joint meeting between the Adair – Casey (AC) and Guthrie Center (GC) school boards, a change was made.
Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center Superintendent Josh Rasmussen tells Raccoon Valley Radio that both boards have met in joint session for the last two meetings, and approved to continue meeting regularly together.
“The Boards over the last few meetings have discussed having a joint regular board meeting just so that we can have some more transparency and just really hear what’s going on in the other district. So at our regular board meeting during that joint meeting, both Boards agreed to move their meetings to the third Wednesday of the month at 7pm. And we’ll be alternating the location of that meeting between Guthrie Center high school and the junior high at the Adair – Casey campus.”
Rasmussen says that both Boards have enjoyed meeting together in the last two meetings, and want to continue discussing the topics they have going forward. He adds that besides adding some transparency, it helps centralize things for the district, which is something else that they have been working on.
