There will be an event in Perry that will allow people to get out and enjoy music in downtown Perry. 

The Perry Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 2nd Street Block Party from 5-10 pm on Friday. The event will feature music from “Toast3r,”and is for those 21-years-old and over with a $5 admission charge. Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says the event will also serve as a fundraiser. 

“So it’s just one of those things that helps us support the chamber (and) the different programs that we’re doing. So when we’re promoting different events throughout the year, we’re building our own capacity for staffing so that we can do more. It all comes back to the chamber and all supports the community and helps make Perry a great place to live, work and play.”

During the event, 2nd Street will be closed between Lucinda and Warford Streets for a Street Dance! The entrance will be located at the intersection of Warford and ( 2nd Streets.
