The Perry Chamber Of Commerce gave a warm welcome to a rental house on Monday.
There was a ribbon cutting ceremony for Grandma Helen’s Airbnb House which is a unique house that is open to the public to rent online for a short or long term. Owner Joelle Miner says that her mother owned the house for 66 years before her passing. Miner explains that it’s a huge house that was built in the 1920’s, but newly renovated with six bedrooms and two bathrooms. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that it would be a perfect place for someone that needs to stay in Perry for a special occasion.
“Pretty much it’s on Airbnb and Vrbo for people that are coming to town with bikes. And sometimes there may be a funeral in town and a lot of family members come and they want to stay together or they just have lots of kids and it’s a great kids house. They really can’t hurt it. It’s pretty, pretty solid and lots of places to play hide and go seek. It’s just a great house.”
People interested in staying the night at Grandma Helens can expect to pay around roughly $230 a night. Listing of the property can be found here.
