Seniors Matthew Hovick, Dakota Mobley, and Brayden Roberts hope to play more than one more game in a Greene County baseball uniform. After a 3-19 regular season, the Rams have a tall task ahead of them in Alleman on Friday night vs. second ranked North Polk at 7 on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. The Comets won the Raccoon River Activities Conference and entered this week with a 23-4 record and the number one seed in Class 3A Substate 2. TheRams went 1-13 in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference and at at one point lost 11 games in a row.

Coach Kyle Stalder’s Rams are young with sophomores dominating the starting lineup. There are no juniors out for baseball, so even freshmen and eighth graders have seen varsity playing time.
