There will be several opportunities this weekend for anyone looking for good deals with an event in Jefferson.

The city wide garage sales are happening Friday and Saturday. Jefferson Matters Executive Director Matt Wetrich says there are nine locations on a map that are available either in a digital or printed copies at the Welcome Center. He thinks there will be several others happening as well. He stresses the need for motorists and pedestrians to be aware that there is going to be increased traffic throughout town.

“Be ready to have a few extra ounces of patience on the garage sale weekends. People pulling over unexpectedly, I assume that happens, ‘Whoa, look at that we need to stop at that spot.’ So be ready for that. Just show a little extra grace and also if you’re a garage saler, keep that in mind that you’re sharing the road as well.”
