Both Dallas Center-Grimes baseball and softball will finish up their conference schedule tonight and they’re in the hunt for a title.
The Mustang softball team will take on Oskaloosa on the road with first pitch at 7:30p. Dallas Center-Grimes is one game behind Norwalk in the Little Hawkeye standings and a win would seal a tie for first place. Looking ahead the Mustangs will wait until July 6th to figure out their opponent in the postseason. They will either face Carroll or Denison-Schleswig at 7:30pm on July 8th for the semi-final round of the Class 4a Substate region 2 bracket.
The Mustang baseball team will also take on Oskaloosa on the road with first pitch at 7:30pm. They have a clear shot at winning the Little Hawkeye regular season title outright with a win. The Mustangs (17-3) are a game Infront Indianola (16-4) in the standings. Then they will face Ankeny on the road on July 5th and Des Moines East on July 7th in the Class 4a Substate region 8 bracket.
