The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met on Tuesday.

The Board held a workshop with the Dallas County Recorder’s Office as they allowed Fidlar Technologies to give a presentation. County Recorder ReNae Arnold informed the Board that she signed a one year agreement for a price of $83,000 with the company to be the county’s land records management system.

Supervisor Brad Golightly expressed concerns about the payment for the agreement since the county is already in an agreement until 2026 with Cott Systems-Records Management Solutions.  Arnold stated that Cott Systems had a malware attack this past winter which prevented them from filing records for three weeks. She said they will use the money from the unfilled recorder deputy position to pay for the new software.

The Board approved several items that deal with the Administration Building Project that includes awarding a bid to Summit Fire Protection for the fire suppression package at the cost of $286,486, they approved the elevator package bid to TK Elevator for the cost of $116,800 and the prequalified flooring bidders as presented.

Additionally, they set a public hearing on the established drainage district in Sugar Grove Township for June 27th and approved a central count ballot reader for the price of $51,000. The Board tabled the emergence medical services clinical equipment services contract for a further review of other opportunities. Finally, K/O Architects gave an update on the courthouse exterior project and predicted the project to finish in October or early November.
