Adel Parks and Recreation is asking the community to come watch a movie under the night sky.

The Movie Night in the Park will show a family friendly film at sunset on Friday at Kinnick-Feller Park. This year they will show Disney’s version of “Cars.” Recreation Supervisor Ramona Dillinger says that they will supply popcorn, but people are free to bring their own snacks and drinks.

It’s just a really great environment to get out and watch a movie, kind of like in a drive up movie type setting where they’re in the park and it’s not in a building, a theater type setting, so people really enjoy them. The kids really enjoy them. You know, they get to move around. They can hang out with their friends on a blanket.”

Dillinger also encourages people to bring their own chairs and blankets. This event is free and open to the public.
