The West Central Valley Wildcats fell on the baseball diamond 3-2 Friday night in their matchup on the road against the Creston Panthers. It was a pitcher’s duel through 3 innings as neither team could really muster up any offense. Creston finally got the bats rolling in the 4th as they put up two runs in the inning to take a 2-0 lead. West Central Valley would later tie the game in the top half of the 6th. But it wasn’t until the bottom of the 6th when the Panthers pulled ahead 3-2. Thomas Mikkelsen had 3 hits in the game for Creston along with 2 RBI’s. The Creston Panthers win and improve their record to 10-12 while West Central Valley drops to 12-8. Up next the Wildcats will take the road on Monday and battle the Woodward-Granger Hawks.

West Central Valley softball is still coming off their 11-0 beatdown of Nodaway Valley on Wednesday. They will be back on the diamond this Monday as well, hosting Woodward-Granger.
