For the first time this season the Greene County Rams are ranked in the top 15 of Class 3A softball teams in Iowa. The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union rated the Rams #14 on June 15 and coach Tom Kennedy’s team is in action today after having Friday off. The Rams topped 1A number 6 St. Edmond at Rogers Park north of Ft. Dodge by a final of 8-1 on Thursday night for their sixth straight victory.

Greene County plays two Hawkeye 10 teams from Class 4A today at the Denison Schleswig tournament in Denison. First up is the host Monarchs (10-8) at 10 a.m., then is Glenwood (10-5) at 2 p.m.

Greene County is back home on Monday night in Jefferson hosting West Marshall (State Center) in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference play at 7:30 p.m.
