Boone defeated Perry 14 to 6 Thursday night in a matchup of former Raccoon River Conference rivals.  The Toreadors took advantage of seven hit batters and walked an additional seven times.  The free passes were too much to overcome as Boone only outhit Perry 9-8.

The Jays grabbed the lead 4-3 in the bottom of third inning thanks to a double steal that resulted in a Boone error.  The Toreadors scored the next eight runs with three in the fourth and five more in the fifth.  Noah Davies drove in five of those runs with a pair of doubles in those two innings alone.

Kain Kilmer led the Perry offense with three hits and three RBI’s.  Fausto Beato and Kaelan Davis added two hits and a RBI each.  Bryce Anliker made the catch of the year when he crashed into the wall and robbed Dylan England of a home run.  Anliker was shaken up on the play but returned to finish the game.

Boone starter Archie Bell tossed the complete game striking out six and allowing only three earned runs.  He did not walk a batter.  Davis, Drake Levan, Beato and Caden Heck all threw for Perry.

The Bluejays fall to 4-11 and will travel to PCM Monday night.
