An organization recently donated funds to the Greene County 4-H program.

NEW Cooperative Foundation gave a total of $52,020 to 22 ISU County Extensions, including Greene County. Greene County Extension 4-H and Youth Coordinator Samantha Hardaway appreciates the continued contribution by NEW Cooperative in supporting the 4-H program.

“We are so grateful for the sponsors that helped decrease enrollment for youth. We charged a much higher enrollment fee from the state, but we keep it $15 for youth, and it’s because of generous donors like NEW Co-op who donate $10 towards your enrollment fees to keep it low and economical for families. So financial barriers aren’t a barrier to join 4-H.”

Including Greene County, NEW Cooperative Foundation is supporting 3,468 4-H’ers in its 22 county territory.
