Stuart’s Good Egg Days celebration may begin tomorrow, but the big day for events is Saturday.

Good Egg Days Committee Chair Kari Tisl says that Saturday’s festivities will begin with a free will donation breakfast served by the Stuart Police Department at 7am, and then the annual event’s 5k run/walk will begin at 8 o’clock. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio about another part of the big day starting at that time.

“Then we will have vendors start showing up, food vendors and craft vendors. And they’ll start setting up about 8 o’clock (am) and then they’ll be open for business 9(am) to 4(pm).”

She adds that fun on the inflatables that will be rented for the event will begin at 10am, before the parade gets started.

“That will be on Southwest 8th (Street), and that is the street south of Casey’s (General Store). And you just line up as you come in, and then we have the same route as last year. You’re gonna go through the alley of the nursing home, The Community Care Center, and work our way up to Division Street like we always do.”

Noon will see several events get started, including a record breaking attempt at most people to pass an egg, a meal by the Stuart Lions Club at the Lawbaugh Park Shelter House, and an interesting game of bingo played with the help of a chicken.
