The AC/GC Chargers were on the road as they traveled to Madrid to face off against the Tigers for the second time this season. According to head coach Eric Van Meter, the softball team started off slow, trailing 3-0 for a few innings, before making a comeback and tying things up in the third inning. The Tigers took the lead again, and the Chargers started to make a comeback, but ran out of time to complete the comeback, and fell 9-7.
The baseball game started with 1 run each in the first inning, then the Chargers grabbed another run in the second to go up 2-1 heading into the third. Neither team scored in the third, and the Chargers had a big gain in the fourth, putting up 4 runs with the first two coming off a 2 RBI double base hit by Lance Bunde. The Chargers then tallied another 2 runs in the fifth and allowed one run, then picked up a run in the sixth and 2 in the seventh to take the game 11-2. Senior Brock Littler stayed on the mound for the majority of the game, with sophomore Noah Kading taking over on the last four batters.
