Dallas Center-Grimes baseball wins one and loses one on the road against Indianola on Friday.

The Mustangs lost a low scoring affair in game 1 against the Indians. Keaton Fenn pitched an excellent game as he went 6 innings only allowing three hits, no earned runs and seven strikeouts. Indianola’s Andrew DeWall went all seven innings on the mound with a complete game, and he only allowed one earned run. Dallas Center-Grimes had three errors that was the difference in the ball game. The final score Indians 2 and Mustangs 1.

In the second game of the doubleheader, the Mustangs would bounce back. Dayne Mauk would continue being dominant on the hill as he went six innings, striking out six, giving up six hits and gave up no runs. Tate Perrin would come in as the relief pitcher and get the save in the seventh inning. Clayton Campidilli hit a two run homerun in the first inning and Mauk would drive in another run. Mustangs get their 11th win of the season by a final score of 3 to 0 over Indianola. Mauk grabbed his third victory as a starting pitcher.

DC-Grimes baseball gets the weekend off and will face Newton on Monday on the road.
