We’ve told you about the children’s summer reading program at the Perry Public Library and shared some details about what the teens can do when school is out as well, but adults are also invited to take part in the fun.
Library Director Mary Murphy and Marlene Johnson collaborated to put together this year’s adult summer reading program, themed Go Green Save.
Johnson says unlike some of the younger crowd, a lot of adults don’t need to be reminded about the importance of reading.
“We know our adults are going to be reading this summer anyway. It’s not like we have to drag them into, they enjoy reading but this is just a little low-key way to reward them for reading as well” says Johnson.
As an incentive, adult participants will also be entered into grand prize drawings for an iPad Mini, an overnight stay at the Hotel Pattee and a Barnes and Noble gift card.
Registration is now open for all three summer reading programs at the Perry Public library. You can sign up there during regular business hours.
