A man from Linden was sentenced to prison for his role in a vehicular homicide. 

According to court documents, 28-year-old Kristopher Beller pled guilty to the charges of a Class B felony for homicide by vehicle while operating while intoxicated He was sentenced to 25 years in prison, with the possibility of parole. He was also given credit for time already served.

The Charge stems from an incident on April 9, 2020. The Iowa State Patrol responded to a vehicle crash that involved Beller failing to obey a posted stop sign for southbound traffic on Highway 141 and broadsided a vehicle which caused the death of a man from Perry.
