The Panorama School Board Recently provided an update on their search for a new superintendent.

In a press release, they said that they recently met with Grundmeyer Leader Services, the firm they hired to help them in their search, and found that after the position had been posted, 23 candidates applied. Two of the candidates are from outside Iowa, 17 are men while four are women and two chose not to respond. The Board also said that five of the candidates had a doctorate, while the other 18 had a six year or specialist degree.

After reviewing application materials, references, licensure verification and social media, eight candidates have been selected for screening interviews that will be held next Wednesday. This process will allow the Board to further evaluate the qualifications of the candidates, and narrow the field down to three individuals. Grundmeyer will set up and facilitate the screening interviews, and finalists will be publicly named shortly after.

The Board will conduct formal interviews with the finalists on June 12th, with the selected superintendent to begin work on July 1st.
