The Dallas Center-Grimes baseball team sweeps a doubleheader in their conference opener Wednesday.
The Mustangs beat the Grinnell Tigers in game 1 by a score of 4 to 1 and in game 2 the score was 8 to 3.
In game 1, Dallas Center-Grimes Keaton Fenn had a quality start going four innings strong, allowing six hits, striking out seven and allowed one run to score. Tate Perrin had two RBI’s on one hit and Taitn Gray provided the additional RBI.
In game 2, Dayne Mauk pitched a complete game in back to back starts and he only allowed three hits and one earned run and added seven strikeouts. Clayton Campidilli had two hits and four runs batted in.
The Mustangs are on a seven game winning streak with the top record in the Little Hawkeye Conference (8-2) and will now take on Ankeny Centennial for a game tonight at 7pm in Ankeny.
