The Chargers competed in the first day of the state meet yesterday, and got some good results. Justin Reinhart came in 15th in the 3200m with a time of 10 minutes 20.15 seconds, Austin Kunkle came in first in the 200m dash preliminaries with a time of 21.9 seconds, and 2nd in the 100m dash with a time of 11.08 seconds, allowing him to advance to the final race of both events on Saturday.

Hayden Coffman, Adylyn Benson, Katelyn Schaffer and Ava Campbell came in 20th for the girls 4x800m relay with a time of 10 minutes 29.72 seconds, while Gavin Sloss, Tyconder Ellis, Jarrett McClain and Andrew Mahaffey came in 17th in the boys 4x800m relay with a time of 8 minutes 37.03 seconds, and to finish off AC/GC running events for the day, Tate Fever, Jathan South, Brexton Schneider and Treyton Schneider came in 11th in the shuttle hurdle relay, with a time of 1 minute 3.43 seconds.

In field events, Payton Jacobe took 14th place with a throw of 45ft 8in.
