The high school boys’ golf team from Greene County travels southwest to Atlantic today for a Class 3A Sectional Tournament at the Atlantic Golf & Country Club. Starting time for the 18-hole event begins at 9 a.m. and the Rams and host Atlantic Trojans will be joined by ADM, Creston, Denison-Schleswig, Glenwood, Harlan, and Shenandoah. The top five individuals advance to District play at the Carroll Country Club on Friday, May 23. The first and second place teams also advance, but the third place team would also go to the district tournament if Atlantic is first or second.

Coach Dave Destival’s Rams have not won a dual meet, but they have finished ahead of some teams in tournament settings. Should Greene County not advance as a team, or not have individual district qualifiers, the season would end today.

The Greene County girls’ golfers go to Atlantic on Monday, May 19 for a Class 3A District tournament.
