The ADM varsity boys varsity track team traveled to Carlisle for a state qualifying event on Thursday May 11th. Here is how the ADM boys did in the running events with many top ten finishes. Junior Aiden Flora placed 2nd and Jamual Richardson-Williams placed 6th in the 100 meter run. Sophomore Brayden Rynearson placed 4th in the 400 meter run. Senior Harrison Desmarais placed 3rd and Hudson Schull placed 6th in the 800 meter run. Sophomore Torin Timmerman placed 1st and sophomore Isaac Chapman placed 4th in the 3,200 meter run. Senior Jacob Kitzinger placed 3rd and junior Luke Krantz placed 4th in the 110 meter hurdles.

The ADM Boys did a great job in the relay and medley races on the day with several top ten finishes. The team of Aiden Flora, Zach Lohman, Cade Morse and Grant Engleman placed 1st in the 4×200 meter relay. The team of Hudson Schull, Shay Holdmeyer, Brayden Rynearson and Harrison Desmarais placed 2nd in the 4×800 meter relay. The team of Cade Morse, Grant Engleman, Zach Lohman and Chase Grove placed 2nd in the 800 sprint medley. The team of Grant Engleman, Carter Padget, Chase Grove and Torin Timmerman placed 4th in the distance medley.

The ADM boys did a very great job in the fielding events on the day with many top ten finishes. Sophomore Kyler Chapman placed 2nd and sophomore Wil Grasty placed 4th in the high jump. Junior Tyler Gelhaar placed 2nd and freshman Jamual Richardson-Williams placed 7th in long jump. Junior Drew Hickey placed 1st and senior Vince Benetti placed 3rd in the shot put. Junior Drew Hickey placed 1st and Vince Benetti placed 3rd in the discus throw. Most of these boys will be heading to the state track meet this week. The state track meet will start on Thursday May 18th – Saturday May 20th. The state track meet this year will be at Drake Stadium in Des Moines. We will let you know in the coming days what boys made the state track this week.
