Joel Gonzales Rojas, Des Moines, was traveling in the 23000 block of Hwy 141 when a vehicle in front of him slowed to make a turn.  Mr. Rojas lost control while trying to avoid a collision.  His actions caused a collision with a separate vehicle, driven by Arthur Mayfield, Perry.  No injuries were reported and damage to Mr. Rojas vehicle was estimated at $1000.  Damage to Mr. Mayfield’s vehicle was estimated at $5000.  Mr. Rojas was issued a citation for Failure To Maintain Control.

May 5

Nicholas Clayton, age 33, 2801 1^st ave, Perry, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.  The original charge was Driving While License Denied, Suspended, Cancelled Or Revoked.

Cole McClellan, Omaha, NE, was driving on 14^th St near Maple St in Dallas Center, when he lost control of the steering due to water ponding in the road.  He struck three mailboxes.  No injuries were reported and damage to his vehicle was estimated at $2000.  Damage to each mailbox was estimated at $100 and each mailbox owner was notified.

May 6

Darwin Sarseno, age 18, 1814 Estella St, Perry, was arrested for Driving While Barred.

Tonya Decamp, age 47, 1404 Greene St, Adel, was arrested for Operating While Under The Influence, Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful Possession Of Prescription Drug.

Alex Kirkpatrick, Perry, was traveling on 360^th Place at 360^th St, when he missed a curve and his vehicle rolled into the ditch.  He and his passenger were able to get out of the vehicle with no injuries reported.  Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $5000.  Mr. Kirkpatrick was cited to Failure To Maintain Control.

May 7

Hunter Kinzie, age 22, 512 s. 12^th St, Adel, was arrested for Possession Of Controlled Substance, Driving While License Denied, Suspended, Cancelled Or Revoked and Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia.
