Spring sports seasons go fast and this week marks the start of the postseason for Greene County boys’ golfers, as well as boys and girls in track & field.

Coach Kyle Kinne’s golfers go to the Carroll County Club on Wednesday for a Class 3A Sectional tournament with qualifiers advancing to the Orange City District next week. Junior Jack Hansen has led the Rams this season with a season nine hole average of just over 40 strokes per round.

Greene County sends its track and field teams to Ida Grove on Thursday for a Class 2A Coed State Qualifying Meet hosted by OABCIG. Both Greene County County teams are coming off strong performances last Thursday at the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference meet.

Girls golf has completed their regular season and they’ll play next week in the postseason. The boys and girls soccer regular seasons wrap up this week with the postseason starting next week.
