On Thursday there will be a ceremony for some special nurses.

Guthrie County Hospital will be holding their annual Service Awards Thursday, and following them announce the winners of the 7th Annual DAISY Award and 5th Annual Sunshine Award. The DAISY Award is given to recognize a nurse that exemplifies extraordinary care. This year’s nominees are Stephany Brondum, Kassie Cline and Stacy Lambert.

The Sunshine Award is given to a remarkable Certified Nursing Assistant, and this year’s nominee is Mindi Ewan. The ceremony will begin after the Annual Service Awards at 2pm in the hospital’s Sneakers Cafe, where all nominees for both awards will be recognized, and then the recipients will receive their respective awards.
