The Guthrie County Secondary Roads Department has a busy construction schedule.

County Engineer Josh Sebern says that the first big projects will be two bridge replacements. He mentions that a bridge west of Guthrie Center, and a bridge west of Bagley will both be replaced with box culverts. Sebern tells Raccoon Valley Radio that contracts for both projects have been awarded to a local contractor, but that department has some things in the works as well.

“We’re planning a few projects for our own crews internally as well with some bridge replacements. We’ve already done one down by Casey and we have some other ones that we’re going to order some materials for and have them ready to go. And we have some bridge repairs that we need to get going on as well.”

Seberns explains that the Secondary Roads Department is currently working to get things finalized with contractors, secure supplies and get schedules hammered out, but that they will be ready to go once they do.
