The ADM girls varsity track team traveled to Carroll for the Raccoon River Conference on Wednesday May 3rd. The ADM Tigers had many place in the top ten in the running events. Junior Makayla Crannell and sophomore Jada Grove both placed 1st and 2nd places in the 100 and 200 meter dashes. Junior Makayla Crannell placed first while teammate junior Madison Siefkens placed 9th in the 400 meter dash. Sophomore Hannah Desmarais got 7th place finish in the 800 meter dash. Senior Geneva Timmerman placed 2nd and freshman Haley James placed 8th on the 1,500 meter run. Senior Geneva Timmerman placed second while sophomore Ella Goodrich placed 7th in the 3,000 meter run. Freshman Elise Coghlan placed 7th in the 100 meter hurdles. Freshman Madison James placed 3rd and freshman Elise Coghlan placed 6th in the 400 meter hurdles.

The ADM girls did a very great job in the relay and medley events on the day with many top ten finishes on the day. The team of Aniston Tollari, Jada Grove, Calli Seehase and Josie Dufoe got first place in both the 4×100 meter relay and 4×200 meter relay event. The team of Hannah Desmarais, Brenna Seidl, Madi James and Aniston Tollari placed 3rd in the 4x400meter relay. The team of Hannah Desmarais, Mackealin Sutton, Madi James and Haley James placed 3rd in the 4×800 meter relay. The team of Peyton Standley, Calli Seehase, Josi Dufoe and Brecken Morse placed 3rd in the 800 sprint medley. The Team of Calli Seehase, Torianna Schmidt, Brenna Seidl and Geneva Timmerman placed 2nd in the Distance Medley. The team of Brianna Young, Haley Nelson, Lauren Case and Elise Coghlan placed 5th in the 4×100 meter shuttle hurdles.

The ADM girls did really well in the fielding events on the day. Sophomore London Warmuth placed first while teammate freshman Madelin Roundcount placed 5th in the high jump. Junior Makayla Crannell placed 3rd while Aniston Tollari placed 6th in the long jump. Sophomore Kennedy Stanford placed 2nd and freshman Lauren Hagedorn placed 7th in the shot put. Freshman Lauren Hagedorn placed 2nd and teammate Addison Banse placed 8th in the discus throw.

The ADM girls did get a first place finish with 170 points on the day as a team while runner-up North Polk ended up with 115.33 points on the day. It was another successful meet  for ADM Tigers and coaches. ADM girls varsity head coach Bart Meuller was named Raccoon River Conference coach of the year. The next ADM girls varsity track meet will be Thursday May 11th in Carlisle for a varsity state qualifying event. That meet will get underway at 4:00 PM.
