Greene County continues to be under a burn ban.
Greene County Sheriff and Jefferson Fire Chief Jack Williams says the burn ban has been in place since April 28th. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio this means there is to be no open burning of any kind in the county until further notice.
According to the State Fire Marshal’s Office, Greene County is the only county in Iowa that is currently under a burn ban.
