A fundraiser for a different kind of student athletes will be held next weekend.

The Central Iowa Student Anglers, in conjunction with the Panorama Shooting Sports team, will be holding a fundraiser competition on Saturday, May 6th. It’ll be a BBQ competition, and will take place in the parking lot of Pedal-In in Panora. Contestants are allowed to BBQ at the competition site, or they can cook at home and bring the finished product in for judging. Other individuals may come and enjoy the BBQ by purchasing a $10 ticket.

Judging of the meats will be from 11:30am to 2:30pm. There will also be a raffle for a whole processed hog. All proceeds from the event will help each team with costs related to their sports.
