The Guthrie Center City Council will meet in regular session tonight.

The Council will consider for approval a tobacco permit for Sparky’s One Stop and a liquor license for the Guthrie Center Municipal Golf Course. They will also consider for approval a building permit on the 700 block of Grand Street, and a fencing permit for the 200 block of Mcluen Street.

The Council will then hold a public hearing on the fiscal year 2023-24 city budget, before adopting the budget and certification of city taxes for 2023-24. They will then hear updates from Bethany McCool from the Little Charger Early Learning Center and Eldon Wolfe pertaining to the Mitchell Park lighting and electrical situation, department update for the streets department along with the pre-treatment agreement with the Guthrie County Fairgrounds and department updates from CIty Hall.

The Council will meet in the City Council Chambers in City Hall at 6:30pm. Raccoon Valley Radio will have results from the meeting later in the week.
