Greene County High School has qualified both its 4 x 100 meter relays for the upcoming Drake Relays at Drake Stadium in Des Moines. The girls qualified with the 58th fastest time of 51.60 seconds and the boys had the 85th fastest time of 44.65 seconds. Drake Relays accepts 96 quartets in the 4 x 100. Four seniors qualified the 4 x 100 for the Greene County girls. They are Olivia Shannon, Kamryn Sanders, Natalie Heupel, and Katrina Heupel. The boys qualified with junior Trey Schilling, sophomore Camden Strennen, and seniors Richard Daugherty and Jesse Miller.

High school 4 x 100 meter preliminaries are this Saturday morning, April 29 with the eight fastest advancing to Saturday afternoon’s finals.

Drake Relays have been held for well over 100 years and it features high school, college, and professional athletes all in the same meet. High School events begin late Thursday afternoon and are sprinkled throughout Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
