The ADM varsity boys track team traveled to Newton for a varsity meet on Thursday April 20th. The ADM boys did very well in about every single event on the day. Heres how the ADM boys did in the running events on the day. Junior Aiden Flora placed 2nd while teammate Sophomore Grant Engleman placed 5th in the 100 meter dash. Sophomore Grant Engleman placed 2nd and sophomore Brayden Rynearson placed 3rd in the 200 meter dash. Sophomore Cameron Forgy placed 1st while teammate senior Harrison Desmarais placed 3rd in the 400 meter dash. Sophomore Torin Timmerman placed 3rd and sophomore Shay Holdmeyer placed 4th in the 400 meter run. Sophomore Shay Holdmeyer placed 2nd and Sophomore Isaac Chapman placed 4th in the 1,600 meter run. Senior Jacob Kitzinger placed 4th and junior Luke Krantz placed 6th in the 110 meter hurdles. Sophomore Keaton Kier placed 3rd and sophomore Joseph Kitzinger placed 5th in the 400 meter hurdles.

The ADM boys had many guys finish in the top ten in the relay and medley races on the day. The team of Aiden Flora, Jacob Kitzinger, Grant Engleman and Carter Padget placed 4th in the  4×100 meter relay. The team of Talen Guile, Talon Harvey, Carter Padget and Keaton Kier placed 4th in the 4×200 meter relay. The team of Zach Lohmann, Cade Morse, Brayden Rynearson and Chase Grove placed first in the 4×400 meter relay. The team of Sam Peters, Pierson Lee, Camden Post and Hunter Landphair placed 3rd in the 4×800 meter relay. The team of Talan Guile, Talon Harvey, Carter Padget and Harrison Desmarais placed 2nd in the 800 sprint medley. The team of Aiden Flora, Cade Morse, Zach Lohmann and Torin Timmerman placed 2nd in the distance medley. The team of Zach Lohmann, Jacob Kitzinger, Luke Krantz and Joseph Kitzinger placed 2nd in the 4×110 meter shuttle hurdle.

The ADM Boys dominated the fielding events on the day with many top ten finishes. Sophomore Will Grasty placed 3rd and teammate sophomore Kyler Chapman placed 6th in the high jump. Junior Drew Hickey and senior Vince Benetti placed 2nd in the shot put. Junior Drew Hickey placed 1st and senior Vince Benetti placed 2nd in the discus throw.

ADM boys finished on the day with first place with 188 points while runner-up Grinnell had 93 points. The next ADM boys varsity track meet will be Tuesday April 25th in Carlisle for a varsity meet where there will be many teams on hand. That meet will start at 4:15 PM
