May is the time for graduations and for all three of the Greene County area school districts, each will be happening next weekend.

Jefferson-Scranton and East Greene will have their commencement ceremony for the over 80 seniors at the Greene County Middle School gymnasium at 2pm on Sunday, May 25th.  Paton-Churdan will have their graduation for the nine seniors of the 2014 graduating class also on Sunday, May 25th at 2pm at the school’s gymnasium in Churdan.

P-C Principal Anne Smith says graduation is an extremely rewarding time for seniors and next Sunday’s ceremony is the final send off for them into the real world.

She points out that each senior in this year’s class are so close to one another that they think of themselves as brothers and sisters rather than just classmates.

For herself, Smith adds that watching each graduating class is rewarding for her too because her and the P-C staff have helped to shape them in successful young adults.
