The AC/GC Chargers boys track team cleaned up shop Thursday night at the Manson NW Webster Emily Markert Coed meet. The team scored 123.5 points as a team, and was the only team to score in the triple digits. There were also a few events where the boys broke school records. Freshman Tate Fever broke the 400m hurdles record earlier in the week, and then broke his own record Thursday night with a time of 59.55 seconds. The previous record of 59.74 seconds was set by Gabe Rowley in 2018.
The 4X400m team of junior Lance Bunde, sophomore Eli Madsen and seniors Justin Reinhart and Austin Kunkle put in a time of 3 minutes 37 seconds, breaking the previous record of 3 minutes 39.71 seconds set by Charlie Crawford, Brock Littler, Jacob Fox and Austin Kunkle. Kunkle was also able to break his own record from last year in the 100m dash. Last year’s time was 10.92 seconds, and the time he set in this last meet was 10.76 seconds.
