The finalists have been named by the Adel Chamber of Commerce for the citizen and business of the year.
Chamber Director Deb Bengston says that they have three individuals selected for the citizen of the year including Rich Hughes, Dixie Rhiner and Jan Tetrick, and the business of year candidates are Harvey’s Greenhouse, Iowa Spring and Russell Abstract & Title. She tells Raccoon Valley now the candidates for each award will be reviewed and chosen by a committee of previous winners.
“We look at what they give back to the community and who has gone above and beyond and given back to the community.”
The award will be announced at the “Celebrate Adel Reception,” on April 27th at the Country Lane Lodge which will be an event that’s open to the public but tickets must be purchased.
