Dallas Center-Grimes girls track and field made an appearance at the Waukee Northwest Relays on Thursday.

Some major takeaways from the competition include Zoey Valenta excelling in the shot put event placing third right behind two Northwest athletes. Valenta throw was measured at 33 feet and 4 inches. Also the Mustang spring medley team placed third with a time of 2:02 and the 4×100 meter relay team took third as well with a time of 51.97.
