Greene County and surrounding residents are invited to the next legislative forum in Jefferson.

April’s “Meet Your Legislators” will take place at 10am on Saturday at the Welcome Center. Thomas Jefferson Gardens of Greene County are hosting the forum where District 47 Iowa Representative Carter Nordman (R-Panora) and District 24 Iowa Senator Jesse Green (R-Boone) will be on hand to give updates from their respective chambers and answer pre-determined questions from the audience. Green encourages anyone with questions to attend.

“Jefferson has a very lively and active forum, and a very respectful one. Tough questions are always asked but respectful conversations always take place, and so that’s why it’s one of my favorite forums. You know a lot of people reach out with emails and sometimes phone calls, but there’s nothing better than a face-to-face conversation, and I would love to meet you if I haven’t and please come out.”

Jefferson Matters: A Main Street and Chamber Community Executive Director Matt Wetrich will be the moderator. The “Meet Your Legislators” is free and open to the public.
