Greene County Activities Director Dave Wright talks with Raccoon Valley Radio about Spring sports. The Rams have track & field, along with shared athletic programs in golf and soccer with Paton-Churdan.
The A.D. said, “Other than some early weather related cancellations and postponements, things are going well. Our track & field, soccer, and golf teams, are all underway. Our participation numbers are good and we have several athletes doing more than one Spring sport at the same time. That’s takes a lot of time and effort on the part of the athletes and it takes cooperation between coaches.”
Coach Wright added that for the time being the Rams will be playing home soccer matches at Karber Field in Grand Junction instead of Linduska Field in Jefferson. The A.D. expects home matches later this season to be played at Linduska Field after new sod was laid last summer.
