Tuesday, March 28th

7:57am: Jean Braden advised she had caught an opossum in a Live Trap. The officer advised the JPD can loan out live traps, but cannot remove captured wildlife. State Law prohibits the JPD from competing with a local business. Jefferson has a rodent removal company in town.

11:03am: Heather Ketchum reported her juvenile daughter was being assaulted at school, and the school has done nothing to fix the issue. The officer advised he would follow up with the school and assist them if needed.

11:06am: Ashley Spaulding advised her brother’s girlfriend was at 708 West Harrison and the property owner advised she was not supposed to be there. She advised her brother was threatening her over the issue. The officer spoke to the subjects involved and arrested Aubrie Leiann Lawrence, 22 of Jefferson on Outstanding JPD Arrest Warrants for, “Possession of Controlled Substance – Serious and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Simple.”

3:28pm: Marilyn Wolfe reported a neighbor in the 600 Block of South Oak Street, was coming onto her property and feeding stray cats. The officer spoke to the neighbor and advised her not to trespass on the property, or she could face charges.

9:25pm: Marvin Myers reported a deer in the roadway on 235th, near the airport. The officer located the deer, who jumped up and ran away.
